Evaluating the Feasibility of a Regional Public Transit Network

The Municipality of the County of Colchester and the Town of Truro commissioned an economic and social feasibility study to explore the development of a regional public transit network. The study examined how a coordinated system could reduce transportation related emissions, address energy poverty, and improve equitable access to jobs, housing, services, and community amenities. By assessing community needs, potential routes, and long-term benefits, the project helped determine whether a regional transit model could support a more connected, low-carbon future for residents across Colchester County.
