Electrified Heating and Cooling Upgrades for Community Housing

The Cape Breton Community Housing Association converted 9 homes from oil-fired heating to fully electric heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and improving comfort for residents. The work followed recommendations from a Low Carbon Communities study and demonstrates how targeted home energy upgrades can support Nova Scotia’s greenhouse gas reduction goals.
