DESCRIPTION
The Coastal Connections Trail Association relocated sections of the Louisbourg Lighthouse Trail away from the shoreline to reduce washouts from climate-driven storm events. The work focused on planning and rebuilding trail segments damaged by Hurricane Fiona so they could be reopened for public use and better protected from future storm surges. The project restored an important community asset and will help ensure the trail’s long term resilience in a changing climate.
