Preserving Bridgewater’s Heritage: Modernizing the DesBrisay Museum Building

The Friends of the DesBrisay Museum in partnership with the Town of Bridgewater completed a deep energy retrofit of the museum to improve efficiency and strengthen the building’s resilience to climate-related flooding. The project upgraded the building envelope, added thermal insulation to the foundation, modernized the HVAC system, and implemented flood-proofing measures. These improvements will help safeguard Bridgewater’s cultural heritage while reducing the museum’s long-term environmental impact.
