Black Business Hub: Planning a Clean Energy, Africentric Business Incubator

Akoma Holdings Inc. has completed preliminary planning for a business incubator building that will support Black entrepreneurs and strengthen local economic development. This phase focused on site assessments, preliminary design work, and community consultations rooted in an Africentric approach to ensure the future hub reflects the needs and priorities of those it will serve. Clean energy and efficiency features—such as solar readiness, heat pump options, and potential green building elements—were explored as part of the overall design considerations, positioning the project for long-term sustainability as it advances toward development.
