DESCRIPTION

Banook Canoe Club is conducting a series of clean energy and efficiency upgrades that will modernize its operations while strengthening the environmental health of a well-loved community facility. The work includes installing rooftop solar panels, improving HVAC systems to reduce energy use, and replacing gasoline-powered safety boat engines with solar-charged electric models. These improvements will lower emissions, reduce noise on Lake Banook, and help protect local air and water quality. Together, they contribute to a healthier environment for members, visitors, and the lake’s ecosystem while supporting the long-term sustainability of this cherished recreational space.
