DESCRIPTION

The Municipality of the District of Shelburne installed electric vehicle charging stations and solar panels at its municipal administration building. The EV chargers now serve both local residents and Sou’West Transit Association vehicles; expanding access to essential charging infrastructure as electric vehicle use grows. The solar panels offset the building’s energy consumption, reducing operating costs and lowering emissions. Together, these upgrades strengthened the Municipality’s commitment to cleaner transportation and more sustainable energy use.
