DESCRIPTION

Nourish Nova Scotia is supporting the development and expansion of school community gardens as a way to strengthen climate resilience, enhance climate science education, and improve the overall health and well-being of students and their communities. Funding is being used to recruit and hire Regional Garden Mentors, facilitate garden projects in approximately eight schools across three regions in the first year, and expand the program to five regions in the second year. The project is also developing and curating climate-focused educational resources and curriculum, and conducting evaluation activities to guide future growth and impact.
